Weekend in the Country

YEAH!! Getting out of the city is a rare occassion for us especially with Nate's busy work/school schedule. But conference weekend gave us an opening. We recently had friends buy a home 'in the country' as New Yorkers call basically any place outside of the city. Though the Blosils do literally live in the country and it was bliss to spend the weekend with them in their wooded environment and large comfortable home. Kent is a gourmet cook and spent all Sunday listening to conference and cooking for us. Cheese soufle and an apple endive salad for lunch and for dinner filet mignon rubbed with coffee and other yummy spices, curried squash soup, a crispy green salad, and warm sourdough bread. Good food, good friends, and plenty of relaxation.
